/ Debbie Dupuis' Home Page

  Dr. Dupuis completed her B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at l'Université de Moncton and was then awarded an NSERC 1967 Science and Engineering Scholarship to pursue Graduate Studies. She obtained a M.Sc. in Statistics at Queen's University where her Master's thesis was entitled Asymptotics-Based Importance Sampling for Determining Multivariate Failure Probabilities. She then went to the University of New Brunswick to pursue her doctoral studies. Her Ph.D. thesis, entitled Knots in Spline Regression: Estimation and Inference using Laplace Transform Techniques, was completed in early 1994, and she was awarded the Governor General's Gold Medal for academic excellence in Graduate Studies. In the summer of 1994, she joined the faculty of the Technical University of Nova Scotia in the Applied Mathematics Department (now the Engineering Mathematics Department, Dalhousie University). In July of 2001, Dr. Dupuis joined the faculty in the Department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences at the University of Western Ontario. In May of 2002, she was awarded a Premier's Research Excellence Award. Dr. Dupuis is currently on leave and has joined the Faculty at HEC Montréal.
